We’re pleased to introduce Lot 187, one of our recent purchases from the Adelaide Magic Millions Sale - a filly by Kermadec out of a Pentire mare, purchased from Balcrest Stud She was presented exceptionally well at the sale and is a filly we were consistently drawn back to. Balanced, athletic, and a fluent mover, she carries herself with ease and has a natural presence about her. From a pedigree perspective, she offers strong credentials. Kermadec has already established himself as a sire of high-quality middle-distance and staying performers, including multiple Oaks winners. Her dam has also produced well, with three winners from five to race, further adding to her appeal. Physically and mentally, she profiles as a filly that will improve with time and distance. She moves effortlessly, covers the ground with efficiency, and possesses a relaxed, tractable temperament - all traits we look for in a filly likely to develop into a staying type, with the potential to target Oaks-level races. She also impressed us throughout the inspection process. We viewed her on multiple occasions, and each time she presented in a calm, professional manner, handling the environment with ease. We believe she represents outstanding value at her purchase price, and we were prepared to extend further to secure her. We’re delighted to have her in the stable and look forward to her progression. We’re excited to introduce Lot 180, one of our recent purchases from the Adelaide Magic Millions Sale - a filly by Supido out of a Fastnet Rock mare. She’s a filly we were immediately drawn to. She presents as strong, well-balanced, and athletic, with a powerful walk and great presence, the type that looks forward and ready to go. From a racing perspective, she gives us every indication she’ll be an early-running two-year-old, while also having the scope to progress into her three-year-old season and potentially step out in trip. On pedigree, she brings together a really appealing mix of speed and stamina, along with a strong international influence. The cross is one we particularly like when Sebring goes to a Fastnet Rock mare, there have been 36 starters for 30 winners, including two black-type mares, making it a proven pedigree cross. Supido, by Sebring, also sired the Magic Millions winner on the Gold Coast this year, further reinforcing the strength of this line. Overall, she’s a filly that offers: Early racing potential Strength and athleticism A proven and effective pedigree cross Genuine value at her purchase price We believe she represents a fantastic opportunity and are looking forward to seeing her progress through the system. We are thrilled to have secured a striking chestnut filly by exciting young Coolmore stallion St Mark's Basilica (FR), for $120,000 at Day 1 of the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale. Offered by leading thoroughbred nursery Coolmore Stud, she is an early type with beautiful balance and strength, and now heads to Angaston to begin her career. A sire that is making an impression early, with 2YO colt, Aristopolos, an unbeaten sensation, winning his first five starts. The dam, Paper Plane, was herself a $340,000 yearling and brings strong residual value to the pedigree, being a full-sister to multiple stakes winner LUMOSTY. A sire, that we wanted to secure more progeny from this sales season, with the 2YO’s in the stable now showing very positive early signs.
