ABR has purchased Lot 414 - Lucky Vega x Just Like Fire, Colt at the 2025 Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale. &lsquo;Our equal top pick of the sale, his physical presence speaks for itself&rsquo; As a stable we are often asked what we are seeking to buy at the sales, sprinters, milers, early types, and the answer from the trainer is the same&hellip; &lsquo;we buy the horse in front of us&rsquo;. There could not be a better example than this impressive chestnut colt by Lucky Vega out of the former West Australian mare Just Like Fire. If you watch his parade several times, it is hard not to be convinced that this is a horse that will make the grade at the top level. Watching his yearling parade, you can&rsquo;t help but be impressed with his size, depth of girth and muscle even as a juvenile. Coupled with a self-assurance and lovely temperament that is visible as he walks out, we were taken with this colt from the early pre-parades and were determined that he come back to Angaston Park. Lucky Vega, a trainer&rsquo;s sire that they keep going back for again and again, from the proven Yulong stud. He adds a mix of intrigue to the pedigree page providing a fresh bloodline as a Group 1 winning Northern Hemisphere 2-year-old. His racing career had stallion qualities featuring throughout. At two he left future European Champion St Mark&rsquo;s Basilica in his wake in the Group 1 Phoenix, that horse also starting to be a sought after sire this season. Notably previous winners of the same race have been super sires Johannesburg and Danehill Dancer. Lucky Vega&rsquo;s first crop to race in 2024 has already produced the exciting Within the Law, winner of the Group 2 Sweet Embrace and 2nd in the Group 1 Champagne Stakes. Just Like Fire was a stakes performed West Australian mare who was a three time winner. Careful study of her racing career highlights notable placings in both the WATC Guineas and the WATC Oaks, but multiple top four finishes in other Group and Listed races, including against the colts in the WATC Derby. These broodmares provide tremendous value. Had they had some luck and managed to win one of these black type features they instantly substantially increase in value. From our perspective as a buyer, they give us confidence that we can buy into these type of families that can mix it with the best at a fraction of the price. Lucky Vega x Just Like Fire '23 Colt

ABR has purchased&nbsp;Lot 343&nbsp;Zousain x Estrado, Filly&nbsp;at the&nbsp;2025 Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale. 
&lsquo;A very well put together filly at a very good price&rsquo;
The Adelaide Magic Millions 2025 value again allowed us to secure a very neat filly at a great price for incoming owners.&nbsp; By Zousain out of Estrado. You know we liked the sire, we came home with three of them, and the Estrado dam-line through Infinite Grace brings a touch of quality to the pedigree.&nbsp; With a dual presence of super-sires Redoute&rsquo;s Choice and Encosta de Lago on either side of the bloodline, this filly has noble blood in her veins.
Zousain was a precocious son of the hugely successful stallion, Zoustar.&nbsp; Widden Stud, who stand both stallions, report Zousain to be a near physical replica of his sire. He was a Group 2 winner and Group 1 placed at age 2, and at age 3 had a very similar path as his sire, running close seconds in the Golden Rose and Coolmore and matching form with the likes of Sunlight and The Autumn Sun.&nbsp; With a difference in service fee of $250,000, Zousain represents incredible value for those seeking strength, speed and quality in their yearling purchases.
The dam, Estrado, by Stratum, was a 4-time winner herself. &nbsp;This is her second foal with her first a two-year-old. The 2nd&nbsp;dam, Infinito was also a good producer, with stats of six winners to runners, however it is through the 3rd and 4th&nbsp;dam-lines that really shine.&nbsp; Infinite Grace &nbsp;(3rd&nbsp;dam) was a classy racehorse and winner of almost $850,000 in prizemoney. Her feature wins were the Group 2 Tristarc Stakes, and her multiple Group 1 placings in the VRC Emirates Stakes, VRC Empire Rose Stakes, MRC Toorak Handicap, and Mannerism Stakes showed she raced at the highest level. &nbsp;Infinite Grace is a half-sister to Charming Ruby, dam of the Group winners Fontein Ruby and The Mitigator. &nbsp;The 4th&nbsp;dam, Infinite Charm, was a half-sister to the iconic Fields of Omagh, and the foundation piece in this impressive pedigree and along with Infinite Grace and Charming Ruby, her 5 other runners to race were all winners.&nbsp;
Regal blood at an extremely good price.&nbsp; This filly is neat and well put together, with a lovely and inquisitive head. &nbsp;We believe the Angaston Hills will see her flourish and put her best foot forward.
