Role includes feeding up, picking up boxes, washing horses, saddling, rugging, putting horses on and off walker, and more.&nbsp;
Based in Gawler SA.&nbsp;

Stablehand - Gawler

Aaron Bain Racing seeks a motivated and skilled Farm Maintenance &amp; Groundskeeper person to join our team.&nbsp;
This role involves the upkeep and maintenance of three associated local horse training properties, with responsibilities ranging from landscaping, general repairs, fencing, welding, and feed pick-ups and deliveries.
The ideal candidate should have a manual drivers license, with an MR truck license preferred and experience with various farm machinery and earth moving equipment (also preferred but can be trained).
This role may suit a young school leaver looking for a hands-on career path out of school, with the ability to learn on the job and grow with a progressive team and expanding local business. 
This role Includes:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Maintain associated properties including paddocks, gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas</li>
<li>Perform general landscaping including planting, pruning, weeding, and spraying</li>
<li>Perform general property maintenance and cleaning as directed for the week to ensure a high level of presentation.</li>
<li>Conduct general repairs and maintenance around the property, including fences, welding, and equipment.</li>
<li>Ability to construct rural farm fencing around the property as required.</li>
<li>Ability to use a welder, to do basic farm repairs on yards or steel fixings.&nbsp; Happy to organise training if not a current skill set.</li>
<li>Operate bobcats or Kanga, and fill equine boxes on the properties with sand or sawdust accordingly.</li>
<li>Ability to drive Medium Rigid truck, and do regular feed or supplies pickups delivering to associated training properties.</li>
<li>Ability to use a forklift to unload trucks or move pallets accordingly.&nbsp; Manual labour is required at times.</li>
<li>Assist in other general farm duties as needed.</li>
</ul>
 Qualifications and experience:
<ul style="font-weight: 400;">
<li>Manual driver's license (required)</li>
<li>MR Truck License (preferred)</li>
<li>Experience operating Bobcat, Welder, and Forklift (preferred, can organise training or tickets)</li>
<li>Experience in towing trailers and operating other farm equipment</li>
<li>Knowledge of fencing, landscaping, and garden maintenance.</li>
</ul>
 Skills:
<ul style="font-weight: 400;">
<li>Ability to work independently and follow instructions for the day or week.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail.</li>
<li>Physically fit and able to perform manual labour tasks</li>
</ul>
 Work Conditions and Hours:
<ul style="font-weight: 400;">
<li>Outdoor work in various weather conditions</li>
<li>Monday to Friday - Flexibility can be discussed.</li>
<li>Saturday work may be required, depending on the week.</li>
<li>Full-Time work, basic 38 hours + overtime as required.</li>
<li>Salary depends on experience.</li>
</ul>

Farm Maintenance & Groundskeeper

The successful applicant will: Extensive experience in trackwork, ability to ride timed gallops, and ride young horses

<li>Ability to take instructions from a stable foreman and demonstrate a high level of communication while working in a team</li>
<li>Immediate start and above award wages</li>

Work Experience

We are currently seeking a stable hand to join our team.
Role includes feeding up, picking up boxes, washing horses, saddling, rugging, putting horses on and off walker, and more.&nbsp;
Based in Gawler SA, ABR will be training on-course at the Gawler &amp; Barossa Jockey Club using the state of art facilities to include 20 horse barn, equine pool, grass and sand track, and treadmill. Shifts Available:&nbsp;

<li>Monday to Saturday, with the ability to do 2-3 afternoons a week on a roster</li>
<li>or Weekend Shift</li>
</ul>
