Two acceptors for Aaron Bain Racing at Balaklava on Wednesday but only one runner.
The barrier draw was not kind for WOODSTOCK in race two, the Clare Valley Toyota Maiden (1050m).
WOODSTOCK came up with gate 15 in an acceptance of 16 so trainers Aaron Bain & Ned Taylor said there was no real upside attempting a win from that gate and he elected to let him stay home in the stable.
ABR’s other acceptor is DISCREETLY BLUE in race three, the Sportsbet Fast Form Maiden (1400m) at 2.50pm SA time.
Jason Holder stays aboard the four-year-old gelding which has not had a lot of luck at either of his two runs for ABR.
DISCREETLY BLUE has drawn barrier four in an acceptance of 18 with four emergencies.
It is a good quality maiden but hopefully he proves super competitive.

ABR’s outstanding young pacer LOUCASSO has been named Australian Two-Year-Old Colts & Geldings Horse Of The Year for 2025.
The awards were announced on the weekend and LOUCASSO was a standout in his category.
Trained by Emma Stewart, the colt won seven of his nine starts with a Group 1 win in The Protostar and a Group 2 victory in the Breeders Crown.
His devastating 24-1/2 metre win in the Breeders Crown on December 13 was his last run.
LOUCASSO is back in work and nearly return to the track as are his stablemates BEACH DIAMOND and CAPTAIN PERFECT, also last-start winners of their Breeders Crown finals.
On the race front, NAROBI continued her winning run at Port Pirie on Monday taking out the 2026 Robust Worx Civil Solutions Yorke Peninsula HRC Cup Final (2050m) for trainer Peter Bain and driver Wayne Hill.
For the second week in a row NAROBI has collected ABR’s Weekend Star award.
On Monday, NAROBI produced a tough performance to take out the $8000 Robust Worx Civil Solutions Yorke Peninsula HRC Cup Final (2050m).
Trained by Peter Bain in Gawler and driven by Wayne Hill, NAROBI ($1.35 fav) sat parked before hitting the lead turning for home and holding off Captain Barnato ($19) to win by a neck with Lincs Poor Boy ($34), 2-1/2 lengths away third.
The favourite began quickly from gate three, but The Reginator came out fast from barrier two to find the lead.
Hill allowed NAROBI to find her rhythm sitting outside the leader before putting pressure on coming off the back straight.
Captain Barnato had the cold sit on the favourite and launched a challenge in the run home but just could not catch the winner.
Aaron Bain, director of Aaron Bain Racing, major owner of NAROBI, said the mare was racing in great form.
“She had two runs below par but has turned the corner with four wins from her last five starts, and three in a row,” Bain said.
“I am sure she can continue to progress through the grades.”
