Weekend Preview

A busy weekend for Aaron Bain Racing with starters at Bordertown on Friday and Morphettville on Saturday.

Trainers Aaron Bain & Ned Taylor head to Bordertown with three runners.

MRS PENNY CRACKER starts the meeting in the opening event, the Sportsbet Make It Look Easy Maiden (1100m) at 12.55pm SA time.

Stacey Metcalfe has been booked to ride coming from barrier five in an acceptance of 11.

MRS PENNY CRACKER had no chance on debut for ABR when unplaced at Mildura.

She has had a quiet trial at Gawler on September 5 to prepare her for Bordertown.

ABR expects the five-year-old mare to be a strong chance on Friday.

Early markets have her at $8 with the favourite Fussy As at $1.85.

The trainers have decided to head to Bordertown with BULLET WING, and he contests race four, the Woolshed Inn Benchmark 66 Handicap (1200m) at 2.40pm.

Connor Murtagh has the ride coming from gate six in an acceptance of 11.

The seven-year-old has trialled nicely twice and is a first up winner so ABR is hoping he will be very competitive.

BULLET WING has opened at $5 with the favourite Hot Strut at $2.80.

SPLASH LANDING is an acceptor in race five, the Border Blinds & Curtains Class One Handicap (1550m). Unfortunately, she has drawn gate 13 in an acceptance of 15 including three emergencies. Stacey Metcalfe has been booked.

The mare was never a chance when resuming over a shorter trip at Strathalbyn and it is worth noting the mare has run a good fourth at the track and trip when previously trained by David Jolly.

SPLASH LANDING was specked early from $46 into $27 with Good Bloke the favourite at $2.45.

Saturday, ABR also has three acceptors.

UNDER AND OVER starts our day in the opening event, the Thomas Farms Handicap (1200m) at 12.22pm SA time.

The five-year-old mare has drawn barrier five in a field of seven with Jason Holder booked to ride.

The mare ran well when resuming and will be fitter on Saturday. She should be competitive.

UNDER AND OVER has firmed from $4.80 into $4.20 in early markets with From The Block the early public elect at $2.40.

HIGH GARDEN lines up in race six, the PDF Food Services Handicap (1800m).

She has drawn gate six in field of 13 with Jason Holder in the saddle.

After three runs from a spell, HIGH GARDEN should appreciate the extra ground and be able to figure in the finish.

The mare has been specked from $27 into $23 with the favourite the very promising Anthracite at $1.80.

ABR is looking forward to having DUAL PRESSURE back at the track and will contest the feature Sportsbet W H Wylie Handicap (1100m).

He has drawn gate seven in an acceptance of 15 with one emergency.

Even though it is a non-claiming race, apprentice Matt Chadwick has been booked to ride.

DUAL PRESSURE has had two nice trials for his return to racing and has a good first up record.

It is a tough contract, but ABR hopes the gelding can prove very competitive.

Punters took the early price of $34 about DUAL PRESSURE, and he is into $26 with the favourite Watchme Win, $4.80 into $3.90.

Trainers Aaron Bain and Ned Taylor took a team of gallopers to work at Balaklava on Thursday, the day after the Cup including stable stars SHADY THINKER and DUBAI FOCUS.

Reports were positive and they may now trial at Murray Bridge next Thursday.
