Four acceptors for Aaron Bain Racing at Morphettville on Saturday, running on a heavy track following persistent rain from Thursday.
ABR&rsquo;s first runner is CONCORDE in race four, the SA Retaining &amp; Civil Handicap (1600m) at 2.02pm SA time.
The import has drawn gate nine in a field of 11 with apprentice Matthew Chadwick to ride and claim 3kg which brings him in with a weight 2kg under the race minimum.
CONCORDE was a little disappointing when fifth at his last outing, but trainers Aaron Bain &amp; Ned Taylor are confident he will be much more competitive on Saturday.
Betting agencies have CONCORDE at $17 behind the $4.60 Watadeel. It seems a value price each-way if he runs up to his first two runs this preparation.
The ultra-consistent METRICAL lines up in race six, the UrbanVirons Group Handicap (1200m) at 3.12pm SA time.
He has drawn barrier 10 in a field of 13 with Jason Holder to ride.
METRICAL was scratched several weeks ago with a slight virus but is back bouncing around and ready to run up to his form.
The gelding has two wins and three seconds from five runs this preparation and he looks well placed again on Saturday.
METRICAL has firmed from $7.50 into $6 in early markets with CICALA listed as the $2.25 favourite.
ABR&rsquo;s third runner is LITTLE ENGINE in race eight, the Aceit Transport Solutions Handicap (1200m) at 4.27pm SA time.
The mare has drawn gate one in an acceptance of 19 with three emergencies. Jason Holder has been booked to ride.
LITTLE ENGINE is having her first run for ABR and has had a nice trial at Murray Bridge early in the month to have her ready. She has not raced since March and had a good break at Angaston Park before going back into training.
Betting agencies give her little hope, and she is listed at $41 behind the promising Cash which is the $3.50 favourite.
Gallant grey SOLAR MIST is our fourth acceptor, but came up as fourth emergency in race nine, the Sportsbet Fast Form Handicap (1050m) at 5.02pm SA time.
The field is restricted to a maximum of 16 runners but by Friday morning there already had been four scratchings, so he is assured of a run.
SOLAR MIST has drawn barrier 11 and Ben Price has been engaged.
The heavier the better for ABR&rsquo;s runner and the draw will ensure he gets clear galloping room which he loves.
His last-to-first win at Morphettville at his most recent run was outstanding and we would be hoping for a repeat.
SOLAR MIST has been specked from $18 into $16 in early betting with the Victorian Interest Point a well backed favourite shortening from $5.50 into $4.40.
<h2>Harness Racing</h2>
Another exciting day of harness racing on Saturday for ABR.
WINGS ON THE LINE, an excellent winner last Saturday, lines up in race five, the 1800-Got-Junk? Pace (1800m) at 8.29pm SA time.
The Emma Stewart-trained mare has drawn gate six with Wayne Hill to drive.
WINGS ON THE LINE was able to dash up the sprint lane to win last week but Hill is going to need to produce a &lsquo;pearler&rsquo; from Saturday&rsquo;s awkward gate.
REACH THE PEAK, out to stretch his winning run to four, contests race eight, the Ladbrokes Black Book Pace (1800m) at 10.15pm SA time.
The three-year-old again takes on the older horses but will carry the number 11 saddlecloth meaning he will come from slot four on the second row.
It could not get any tougher for the colt, which is now trained by Peter Bain and will be driven by Wayne Hill.
At Melton, CAPTAIN PERFECT steps out again in race 10, the Hertz Melton 3YO Pace (2240m) at 10.24pm SA time.
He has drawn gate five in a field of seven and will be driven by Mark Pitt.
CAPTAIN PERFECT resumed from a short break with an excellent second at Melton on August 16 over 1720m, beaten by stablemate Storms Collide which is engaged again on Saturday.
With that run under his belt, and the step up in distance, ABR hopes the CAPTAIN can turn the tables.
Betting agencies can&rsquo;t split the pair and in early markets they were equal favourites at $1.80.

Another good weekend on the harness racing side of the ABR business model with two winners at Globe Derby Park plus an interest in a winner at Alexandra Park in New Zealand on Friday.
WINGS ON THE LINE returned from Melbourne for trainer Emma Stewart to take out the SAHRC Members Day Sunday August 31 Pace (2230m).
Driver Wayne Hill settled her third on the fence, then used the sprint lane to dash through and claim victory.
WINGS ON THE LINE rated an excellent 1:58.5 in winning and is expected to front up again this Saturday.
Then, for the second week in a row, three-year-old filly BEACH DIAMOND proved too good for her older rivals taking out the SAHRC Committee Room Available For Bookings Pace (1800m).
She did a bit of work in the run but raced away for an easy win in a smart mile rate of 1:56.7.
Reinsman Wayne Hill drive the filly confidently and she duly delivered.
BEACH DIAMOND is now returning to Emma Stewart&rsquo;s Victorian stables before heading across Bass Strait for the Listed $40,000 Tasmanian Oaks (2090m) in Hobart on Sunday, September 7.
ABR also has a small share in MIDNIGHT MIKI which scored at Alexandra Park in Auckland last Friday.
Trained by Mark and Nathan Purdon, and driven by Mark, the three-year-old notched his fourth win rating an excellent 1:55.9.

For the second week in a row, BEACH DIAMOND is ABR&rsquo;s weekend star.
The three-year-old filly BEACH DIAMOND, again beat the older horses in taking out the SAHRC Committee Room Available For Bookings Pace (1800m)
Trained by Emma Stewart, and driven by Wayne Hill, the three-year-old was a virtually unbackable $1.18 favourite and came from gate three on the second row.
Hill allowed the filly to balance up before coming forward with 1000 metres to travel finding the spot outside the leader.
Hill came forward in the slowest quarter of the last 1600 metres, 31.5 seconds.
Once outside the lead, he asked BERACH DIAMOND to lengthen and she came home in a last 800 metres of 56.7 seconds.
As a result, her rivals couldn&rsquo;t keep up and she drew away to score by 16 metres in an excellent mile rate of 1:56.7, basically unextended.
BEACH DIAMOND returned to trainer Emma Stewart early this week with the plan to head off across Bass Strait for the $40,000 Listed Tasmanian Oaks (2090m) at Hobart on Sunday, September 7.

A strong representation for Aaron Bain Racing at Morphettville Parks on Saturday but mixed luck with the barrier draws.
Trainers Aaron Bain &amp; Ned Taylor scratched promising filly BELLEZZE from Strathalbyn on Wednesday because of a horror draw but unfortunately she didn&rsquo;t fare much better at Morphettville Parks on Saturday.
BELLEZZE accepted in race two, the Sportsbet Nobody Does It Better Maiden (1250m) at 12.47pm SA time.
The filly came up with gate 15 in an acceptance of 17 with three emergencies.
Jason Holder has been booked to ride BELLEZZE which was an excellent fifth at her last run at Murray Bridge. She is racing well but having no luck with her barriers.
Betting agencies have BELLEZZE at $15 behind the $4.80 favourite Broadbeach Miss.
ABR has to wait until race five, the Croser Handicap (1400m) at 2.37pm SA time for EL CAPONY to step out.
The six-year-old mare has drawn well in gate four in a field of 13 with Stacey Metcalfe booked to ride.
EL CAPONY had little luck at her last run at Murray Bridge and has been placed twice from three runs around the Parks circuit.
Bookies would be surprised if she won as EL CAPONY is a $61 chance behind the $3.70 favourite Mrs Secombe.
UNDER AND OVER will have her first start for ABR in race six, the Thomas Farms Handicap (1000m) at 3.12pm.
She has drawn wide in gate 11 in a field of 12 with Jason Holder to ride.
The mare has not raced since December 21 last year when a handy third at Murray Bridge.
UNDER AND OVER has trialled very well twice for ABR and looks well placed to prove competitive.
UNDER AND OVER is a $5.50 chance behind the heavily backed favourite Super Alana at $4.20.
HIGH GARDEN is our next runner in race seven, the SkyCity Handicap (1550m) at 3.52pm SA time.
Apprentice Taylor Johnstone will ride and claim 2kg to bring her in just .5kg over the minimum. The mare has drawn gate one in a field of 14.
After three runs back from a break, HIGH GARDEN can improve from the good draw and the step up in distance.
HIGH GARDEN is quoted at $13 with Flowerdale the favourite at $4.50.
ABR&rsquo;s final runner is PACIFIC JEWEL in race nine, the Sportsbet Jockey Watch Handicap (1250m) at 5pm SA time.
The mare was named as first emergency in the field of 18 which included four emergencies but there have already been five scratchings ensuring her a start.
PACIFIC JEWEL has drawn barrier 14 with Jason Holder booked to ride.
The mare won two races for ABR in her initial preparation in SA and has had a jump out and trial to ready her for a return to the track.
Expect her to be charging home on Saturday.
PACIFIC JEWEL has been specked from $27 into $23 in an open betting race with Anotherhouse the $5.50 favourite.

Four runners for Aaron Bain Racing at Globe Derby Park on Saturday, with owners needing to stay awake for quite some time to see them run.
Trainer Emma Stewart has returned class mare WINGS ON THE LINE to Adelaide, and she will contest race five the SAHRC Members Day Sunday August 31 Pace (2230m) at 8.31pm SA time.
The mare has drawn barrier eight, one on the second row with Wayne Hill to drive.
WINGS ON THE LINE had no luck last week at Melton and looks well placed in SA.
ABR has to wait then until the last three races on the 10-event program.
IVSEENHEAVENSLIGHT lines up in race eight the Kevin &amp; Kay Seymour Pace (1800m) at 10pm SA time.
Trained by Emma Stewart, and to be driven by Wayne Hill, the filly was super impressive when winning at Globe Derby Park last week.
This week she carries saddlecloth 10 starting from gate three on the second row in a good quality field.
BEACH DIAMOND was excellent in the wet last Saturday when resuming and contests race nine the SAHRC Committee Room Available For Bookings Pace (1800m) at 10.29pm SA time.
Also to be driven by Wayne Hill and trained by Emma Stewart, the three-year-old filly has drawn gate 10m, three on the second row.
ABR&rsquo;s day concludes at 10.49pm SA time in the Northside Trophies Fillies &amp; Mares Pace (1800m).
Former New Zealand mare DREAMALITTLEDREAM has again drawn gate seven, the outside of the front row with Wayne Hill in the sulky for trainer Peter Bain.
She came from last to win on debut for ABR on Monday and it looks like she will have to repeat the effort to win again on Saturday.

Five harness winners in 48 hours were a highlight for Aaron Bain Racing on the weekend.
Three came on Saturday, one on Sunday, then another on Monday for an excellent weekend.
IVSEENHEAVENSLIGHT was brilliant winner of the Ladbrokes Odds Surge Pace (1800m) at Globe Derby Park to start Saturday night for trainer Emma Stewart and reinsman Wayne Hill.
Stewart and Hill combined later in the meeting with BEACH DIAMOND which was an all-the-way winner of the T-Junction Performing At Globe Sunday August 31 Pace (2230m).
The three-year-old filly will have another run in SA before returning to the trainer then heading off for the $40,000 Listed Tasmanian Oaks (2090m) at Hobart on Sunday, September 7.
The Saturday treble came up with REACH THE PEAK also leading throughout in the Ladbrokes Blackbook 3YO &amp; 4YO Pace (1800m).
The three-year-old colt has won all three starts since Stewart decided to send him across to South Australia.
ABR&rsquo;s fourth winner came on Sunday, when HUNGRY HIPPO proved too good for his rivals at Hobart in the Prydes Easifeed Pace (1609m).
Trained by Emma Stewart and driven by Mark Yole, the Tasmanian bred colt has won all three starts in Tasmania picking up $24,505 in stakes plus his Tasbred bonus.
He is due to return to trainer Emma Stewart&rsquo;s Victorian stables this week, but ultimately HUNGRY HIPPO will return to Launceston for the Group 3 $60,000 Nutrien AG Solutions Globe Derby Final (2200m) for Tasbred 3YO Colts &amp; Geldings on Sunday, November 30.

After settling last from gave seven, the five-year-old mare raced away to win by six metres with an impressive SA debut.

The mare has not raced since May 18 when trained by David Jolly but has had two nice jump outs for ABR.

ABR Weekend Star 
Three-year-old filly BEACH DIAMOND was ABR&rsquo;s Weekend Star with her dominant return to racing at Globe Derby Park on Saturday.
Trained by Emma Stewart, the filly had not raced since finishing midfield in the New South Wales Oaks at Menangle on May 10 coming from a terrible draw.
BEACH DIAMOND started a red-hot $1.10 favourite in the T-Junction Performing at Globe Sunday August 31 Pace (2230m) and any thrill seeker who took the short odds had no cause for concern.
Reinsman Wayne Hill was able to find the lead from gate three and rated her perfectly racing away to a 20-metre win.
The race was run in a steady shower of rain, but the filly came up with a 30.5 second first quarter of the last 1600 metres, then peeled off three sub-30 second quarters of 29.5, 29.3 and 29.6 seconds for an overall mile rate of 1:59.1.
On a night when times were slightly off the mark, BEACH DIAMOND&rsquo;s effort was outstanding.
Winning driver Wayne Hill was very impressed by BEACH DIAMOND.
&ldquo;She was super,&rdquo; Hill said.
&ldquo;We jumped to the front and dictated.
&ldquo;I had to ask her to do a bit a couple of times, but she responded each time, and she ran away from them comfortably.
&ldquo;The last three quarters were all sub-30 seconds, she was very good.&rdquo;
The three-year-old filly will have another run in SA before returning to trainer Emma Stewart then heading off for the $40,000 Listed Tasmanian Oaks (2090m) at Hobart on Sunday, September 7.

ABR is also focused on our young standardbreds lining up at three different venues on the weekend.
SHOOTOOSE, an impressive last-start Mildura winner, kicks off in race two at Morphettville Parks, the Dominant Handicap (1400m) at 12.42pm SA time.
Apprentice Taylor Johnstone retains the ride and claims 2kg jumping from gate nine in a field of 10.
The seven-year-old, who has been listed as close to retirement, gets his chance for a city win.
Betting agencies have SHOOTOOSE at $11 with the favourite Under The Cone at $3.80.
ABR has to wait until race eight, the Quayclean Handicap (1400m) at 4.17pm SA time to see STOKOMO line up.
The five-year-old has drawn gate three in a field of 13 with Todd Pannell in the saddle again. Already there have been two early scratchings.
STOKOMO returned to the winning list, and his first for ABR, over this track and trip on August 6.
He is well placed to make it two-in-a-row.
Punters jumped in STOKOMO&rsquo;s early price of $5 and he has been backed into $3.70, at which price he is favourite.
LITTLEBOURKESTREET is ABR&rsquo;s third acceptor in race nine, the Fotobase Group Handicap (1250m) at 4.55pm SA time.
Jason Holder rides the mare which has barrier nine in an acceptance of 14 with two emergencies.
She just failed to grab a win at Murray Bridge at her most recent run and LITTLEBOURKESTREET is entitled to consideration.
Betting markets have the mare at $7.50 with the favourite Nicish at $2.80.

At Globe Derby Park on Saturday, IVSEENHEAVENSLIGHT comes from the extreme outside gate seven in the opening event, the Ladbrokes Odds Surge Pace (1800m) at 6.53pm SA time.
The Emma Stewart-trained three-year-old filly will be driven by Wayne Hill.
She has not raced since finishing unplaced in the NSW Oaks in May.
Promising three-year-old filly BEACH DIAMOND returns to racing in race six the Junction Performing at Globe Sunday August 31 Pace (2230m) at 9.42pm SA time.
She will come from gate three with Wayne Hill to sit in the sulky.

He has drawn awkwardly in gate 12 for his first start back since stringing together four straight wins at Globe Derby Park in May and June.

She will come from gate two with Ryan Sanderson in the sulky.&rsquo;

WINGS ON THE LINE was an excellent second at her first run for trainer Emma Stewart on July 5 and is expected to prove competitive again.

On Sunday, ABR&rsquo;s interest switches to Hobart in Tasmania with HUNGRY HIPPO attempting to remain unbeaten in race seven, the Prydes Easifeed Pace (1609m) at 7.14pm SA time.
Reinsman Mark Yole drives again as the colt comes from gate four.
HUNGRY HIPPO has been an easy winner of his two previous Tasmanian runs and looks well placed again.
On Monday, former New Zealand mare DREAMALITTLEDREAM steps out for ABR and trainer Peter Bain at Globe Derby Park.
She has drawn the outside of the front row, gate seven in race two, the #stepuptobreastcancer Pace (1800m) at 1.22pm SA time with Wayne Hill to drive.
DREAMALITTLEDREAM is a winner of two races from 19 starts in NZ and is a last-star victor of a race at Ascot Park on January 30 when driven by &lsquo;The Postman&rsquo; Blair Orange rating 1:58.4.

Two of Aaron Bain Racing&rsquo;s talented three-year-old standardbreds took the spotlight on the weekend.
REACH THE PEAK, having just his third start, made it two wins in a week at Globe Derby Park on Saturday.
On Sunday, HUNGRY HIPPO led throughout at Launceston in Tasmania to stay unbeaten.
Both colts are trained by Emma Stewart in Victoria and are now repaying the owners for their patience.
HUNGRY HIPPO won at Hobart the previous Saturday scoring by 27 metres, then on Sunday was a winner by nine metres.
Being Tasbred he has also picked up his breeding bonus.
REACH THE PEAK resumed from a break at Globe Derby Park on Tuesday, then led throughout on Saturday.
On the thoroughbred front, no runners at Thomas Farms Murray Bridge on Wednesday.
ABR has four nominations for Morphettville Parks on Saturday.
We have a number of horses ready to head to the races over the next month so expect our numbers to increase.

REACH THE PEAK nosed out his stablemate HUNGRY HIPPO to be acclaimed our weekend star.
The three-year-old, trained by Emma Stewart, was having just his third start when scoring up at Globe Derby Park on Saturday in the Ladbrokes Blackbook Pace (1800m).
REACH THE PEAK had to go for a break after his unplaced race debut at Bendigo in December last year.
He resumed at Globe Derby Park last Tuesday and scored his first win by 11 metres.
The colt was able to back up five days later, giving age and experience to his rivals.
Reinsman Wayne Hill urged him across to find the front from gate four then let him set a good tempo.
REACH THE PEAK ran quarters of 30.1, 31, 30.1 and 29.3 seconds for an overall mile rate of 1.59.
Love To Deal, which had set on his back throughout, launched a challenge up his inside and managed to get within a head on the line but REACH THE PEAK kept finding to stave off his challenger.
Consider the difference in experience &ndash; the runner up is a nine-time winner from 72 starts while ABR&rsquo;s colt is now a two-time winner from just three.
REACH THE PEAK&rsquo;s mile rate of 1:59 compared most favourably to the 2:00.7 recorded by 13-time winner Urgoodboy three races earlier.
ABR intends to give the winner a few more runs at Globe Derby Park before returning him to trainer Emma Stewart and aiming for suitable age races.

A busy weekend for Aaron Bain Racing with thoroughbred and standardbred runners at different venues around the country.
On Saturday, ABR accepted with three runners at Morphettville, one seeking our first Group 3 victory, but we will have only two starters. ABR also has four runners at Mildura in Victoria.

Brad Rawiller rides again coming from barrier four in a field of 14.
TERRITORIAN broke his maiden in Mildura on July 19 after giving his rivals a start and a beating. He looks well placed again on Saturday.

The Emma Stewart-trained REACH THE PEAK is engaged at Globe Derby Park on Saturday following his first win at the venue on Tuesday.
REACH THE PEAK scored his maiden win in a non-penalty race at Globe Derby Park.
Backed from $1.55 into $1.15 favourite, the colt raced away for driver Wayne Hill to win the Northside Trophies (1800m) by 11 metres.
On Saturday he has drawn barrier four in race eight, the Ladbrokes Blackbook Pace (1800m) at 10.28pm SA time.
Wayne Hill retains the drive in a tougher field, but the colt still looks a strong winning chance.
Three-year-old HUNGRY HIPPO was super impressive on race debut at Hobart last Saturday and this week he goes around again, at Launceston on Sunday.
He has drawn gate two in race nine, the Jillian Robins Stakes (2200m).
Mark Yole retains the drive, and he looks an excellent chance of making it two wins straight.

Trainers Aaron Bain &amp; Ned Taylor landed their first winner of the 2025/26 SA racing season when STOKOMO proved too strong for his rivals at Morphettville Parks.
After a career-best 42 winners in 2024/25, the ABR trainers are keen to better than number this season, and a win at the second meeting is an ideal start.
Ridden by Todd Pannell, STOKOMO ($4.80) scored a half-length win in the SkyCity Benchmark 56 Handicap (1400m) defeating Be Responsible ($3.90 fav) with Hard Leaf ($11) a long neck away third.
Pannell settled second on the winner before asking him to launch his claim shortly before the 200-metre mark.
Under the jockey&rsquo;s hands-and-heels riding, STOKOMO grabbed an advantage and held it to the line.
Trainer Aaron Bain said STOKOMO&rsquo;s win had been special.
&ldquo;It was our first winner for Rob Hill Smith,&rdquo; Bain said.
&ldquo;Rob has as long history with the Barossa, owning Yalumba Winery, and her has a few owners in with him.
&ldquo;We are very grateful for his support at Angaston Park, and to get one on the board for him is really good.
&ldquo;Todd (Pannell) rode him a treat. There was a bit of speed battle early, but he was confident to poke through and race on the pace.
&ldquo;He was tough late, and it was as good win. A tough watch the last 100 as they came at him, but he held on.&rdquo;
Bain said STOKOMO was a credit to the Cam Baker rehabilitation program.
&ldquo;He spent a bit of time with Cam as he had a minor leg injury.
&ldquo;Full credit to Cam and the Barossa Equine Clinic.
&ldquo;Rob had the patience and when he ran really good first up, Rob said he just wanted to win a race to prove he had got him back.
&ldquo;Hopefully he can win another one.&rdquo;
Winning jockey Todd Pannell was impressed by STOKOMO&rsquo;s victory.
&ldquo;It was a good solid win,&rdquo; Pannell said.
&ldquo;He was on-pace, and we ended up in the spot which we wanted.
&ldquo;Last start at Mildura, with the blinkers on, he was a bit keen, but today he got into as good rhythm, relaxed nicely and was able to quicken off it.
&ldquo;He took the reins at the top of the straight and hit the front himself. It was a good win.&rdquo;

The late, great training legend Bart Cummings once said, &ldquo;patience is the cheapest thing in racing and least used.&rdquo;
Aaron Bain Racing has that quote as an important part of our training profile, both in thoroughbreds and standardbreds.
Such was the case in Hobart on Saturday when the wait returned the perfect dividend with our three-year-old pacer HUNGRY HIPPO.
ABR always felt the colt had excellent potential from the time he was broken in and was keen to take him to the races as a two-year-old.
But his growing body meant we had to wait until he could tell us that he was ready.
Patience paid off on Saturday with an outstanding maiden win picking up first prize of $9,100 plus his Tasbred bonus of $5,092.
On the thoroughbred front, trainers Aaron Bain &amp; Ned Taylor fell short by a head from repeating their effort of a winner on the opening day of the new season.
Just one more bound and LITTLEBOURKESTREET would have won at Murray Bridge on Saturday on a day the team raced well.
On Monday, Aaron Bain Racing headed to the Murray Bridge trials with a massive number of 14 horses ensuring we will have multiple runners heading into the spring racing.
The trainers came away &ldquo;very satisfied&rdquo; with the team in what was a long day.
Only one runner for ABR at Morphettville Parks on Wednesday.
We have to wait until the final event, race eight, the SkyCity Benchmark 56 Handicap (1400m) at 4.15pm SA time.
STOKOMO gets his chance to win a race for ABR drawing barrier 8 in a field of 18 with four emergencies and senior rider Todd Pannell retains the ride.
He rode the five-year-old when a good fourth at Mildura at his most recent run.
STOKOMO looks well placed on Wednesday and should prove competitive.

<h3>ABR Weekend Star</h3>
HUNGRY HIPPO was ABR&rsquo;s weekend star with a very impressive victory at the Hobart harness meeting on Saturday.
Coming from gate five on the second row on his race debut in the Smithawards Pace (2090m), the Emma Stewart-trained three-year-old was driven by Tassie reinsman Mark Yole.
No sooner than the field had found their positions, Yole came three wide on the Stay Hungry colt, eventually finding the spot outside the leader.
Turning for home he &ldquo;hit the accelerator&rdquo; and HUNGRY HIPPO streaked away to win easily by 27 metres.
The colt rated 1:58.0 which was 0.9 seconds quicker than the more seasoned pacers had recorded in the opening event and was second fastest for the meeting over the trip, only bettered by fast class star Fighter Command&rsquo;s 1:55.1 in The Beautide.
Aaron Bain, principal of ABR, said HUNGRY HIPPO could have done no more.
&ldquo;It was a lovely win on debut,&rdquo; Bain said.
&ldquo;It was a tough win.
&ldquo;He did plenty of work in the run and still pull away in the straight.
&ldquo;And he went the quickest quarter of the race 28.6 seconds home.
&ldquo;He was very, very impressive.
&ldquo;Everyone has been very patient to get to this stage but certainly a bright future ahead.&rdquo;

Weekend Review

Coming off a career-best season, Aaron Bain Racing is ready to build the thoroughbred side of the business in the 2025/26 season, beginning Saturday at Murray Bridge.
Finishing sixth on the SA metropolitan premiership in 2024/25, ABR is looking to finish at least in the top five this season, but hopefully the top three.
It all starts again this weekend with meetings on Saturday and Sunday.
With the Gawler meeting postponed last week and reprogrammed for this Sunday, ABR took the opportunity to accept with three runners, two of which are also acceptors at Murray Bridge on Saturday.
Here are ABR&rsquo;s five acceptors for Murray Bridge on Saturday.
FOLLOWING SEA has a tough act to follow in race one, the Cox Electrical Handicap (1800m) at 11.57am SA time.
ABR took out the opening event of the 2024/25 season with HOLLYWOOD HIGH so can FOLLOWING SEA, raced in the same interests, repeat the effort this year?
The four-year-old has drawn gate six in a field of nine and will be ridden by Todd Pannell.
The gelding has had three runs back from a break and can improve on his last start eighth at Gawler. He has had a subsequent jump out at Murray Bridge and hopefully he can improve.
FOLLOWING SEA&rsquo;S best form would make him competitive.
Early markets have FOLLOWING SEA at $12 behind the firm favourite All So Clear at $2.35.
BELLEZZE is ready to win but has again had no luck in race two, the Thomas Farms Maiden (1200m) at 12.32pm SA time.
The three-year-old filly is first emergency in an acceptance of 18 but has also drawn gate 16 as well.
Apprentice Matt Chadwick has been booked to ride and claim 3kg to bring her in with just 53kg.
BELLEZZE ran very well when third last time out in Mildura and looks well placed on Saturday with any luck.
Bookmakers don&rsquo;t give the filly much hope and she has drifted from $26 to $31 with the favourite Tassoro at $5 in an open betting race.
ABR has two acceptors in race seven the Murray Bridge Septic Solutions Handicap (1200m).
There is an acceptance of 14 but already there has been a scratching of the horse which drew barrier 14.
EL CAPONY has drawn barrier 11 with Taylor Johnstone to ride and claim 2kg while LITTLEBOURKESTREET has gate three with Jason Holder in the saddle.
EL CAPONY was scratched on the heavy track last week and heads into Saturday after a disappointing first up effort here at the Bridge.
The mare has a good second up record and is capable of sharp improvement.
LITTLEBOURKESTREET has ran soundly in three runs from a break and was a handy effort behind a smart galloper here at Murray Bridge at her most recent run.
The three-year-old filly is another which is ready to do better.
Another longer price with EL CAPONY drifting from $13 to $17 but LITTLEBOURKESTREET is steady in betting at $8.50 with the favourite Nurys at $3.50.
ABR&rsquo;s last runner for the meeting is HIGH GARDEN in the final event, race nine, the Murdoch Insurance Brokers Handicap (1400m) at 4.45pm SA time.
She has drawn poorly in gate 18 in an acceptance of 19 with Taylor Johnstone booked to ride and claim 2kg.
The mare is a winner over this track and trip and can improve after two runs from a spell.
HIGH GARDEN is listed as a $13 chance with The Mansman public elect at $4.20.
At Gawler, ABR&rsquo;s day starts in the opening event, the Sportsbet Maiden (1700m) at 12.50pm SA time.
OH LOVEY NO will have her third run for ABR drawing gate seven in an acceptance of 13 with one emergency.
Apprentice Matthew Chadwick retains the ride and claims 2kg.
He was aboard the mare in both runs, also over 1700 metres at Gawler, and she finished seventh each time.
We would be hoping for improvement on Sunday.
BELLEZZE has accepted in race two at Gawler, the Holdfast Insurance Brokers Maiden (1200m) at 1.30pm SA time.
Chadwick has been engaged for the three-year-old filly which has drawn gate seven in an acceptance of 16 with four emergencies.
With a Racing Rewards bonus attached, the race is a good option for connections.
LITTLEBOURKESTREET is an acceptor in race three, the Gawler Self Storage Class 1 Handicap (1100m) at 2.10pm SA time.
Apprentice Taylor Johnstone has been booked for the filly which has drawn gate three in a field of 11.

ABR is looking for two feature race wins at Saturday&rsquo;s Hobart harness meeting.
The Peter Bain-trained two-year-olds RAVISHING RUBY and B T CAPTIVATE have both qualified for their respective finals.
RAVISHING RUBY lines up in race three, the $30,000 Fehlbergs Produce Two-Year-Old Fillies Sweepstakes Final (1609m) at 6.51pm SA time.
She comes from gate three with Mark Yole to drive and after her brilliant heat win last Friday looks very hard to beat.
RAVISHING RUBY has been installed the $1.14 favourite.
B T CAPTIVATE has a back row draw to overcome in race five, the $30,000 Fehlbergs Produce Two-Year-Old Colts &amp; Geldings Sweepstake Final (1609m) at 7.51pm SA time.
He carries the number nine saddlecloth and starts from two on the second row with Mark Yole in the sulky.
The colt was very green on debut and ran second in his heat, beaten in a photo. With that race experience B T CAPTIVATE should be in the finish on Saturday.
Punters like his hopes and he has been backed from $2.50 into $2.30 favourite.
In between, in race four, the Smithawards Pace (2090m) at 7.20pm SA time, the ABR&rsquo;s HUNGRY HIPPO makes his long-awaited race debut.
He also has to come from a back row as number 12 coming from gate five on the second row.
Trained by Emma Stewart, HUNGRY HIPPO will be driven by Mark Yole and has shown ability in trials.
Also on Saturday, ABR&rsquo;s attention will be at TABCorp Park Menangle where our star mare KISS will race.
She has drawn the extreme outside gate in a field of nine in race nine, the $20,400 TAB Ladyship Pace (1609m) with the talented young Ashleigh Delosa to drive.
KISS has been placed in strong fields at her last three runs at Melton after a first-up win.

ABR finished the metro season on 22 winners, up from 10 the previous season, and in sixth position. It was a fantastic season with our first full year at Angaston Park and ABR is excited about building on those figures in 2025/26 and hopefully climbing into the top three on the premiership.

What a way to end the 2024/25 racing season with SOLAR MIST turning in a last-to-first effort to win the final event at Morphettville to be ABR&rsquo;s weekend star.
It is said greys love the wet and so it proved for the ABR galloper winning on a heavy 10 track in a race run in pouring rain.
Aaron Bain Racing was delighted for the connections of the consistent grey to finally delivered a metropolitan win at Morphettville.
SOLAR MIST turned in a last to first performance to win the Grand Syndicates / Aaron Bain Racing Handicap (1100m).
In the initial stages, the grey, trained by Aaron Bain &amp; Ned Taylor, was a clear last, three lengths detached from the body of the field of 15 but warmed into his task approaching the home turn.
Brought to the extreme outside by apprentice rider Matthew Chadwick, SOLAR MIST, backed from as much as $41 into $14, charged home to grab a half-length win from Purfect Line ($4.40 fav) with Cool The Jets ($21), three and a half lengths away third.
Trainer Aaron Bain said SOLAR MIST had showed early potential, had lost his way for a while, but was now back starting to live up to his early potential, and the owners who had been on a roller-coaster ride finally were rewarded with a city win.
&ldquo;He went away for a while, but we wanted him back for the winter,&rdquo; Bain said.
&ldquo;It means a lot to win in these colours for John Curnow, and his wife Sue, they have been a big supporter of our stable for a long time.
&ldquo;John and Sue were here today standing out in the driving rain &ndash; nothing was going to stop them.
&ldquo;This horse may have won at a big price, but he loves the wet and he got it today.
&ldquo;It was his biggest chance to win a city race, and he did.
&ldquo;We paid $70,000 for him at an Adelaide Yearling Sale, he was one of the first yearlings we purchased.
&ldquo;We were offered good money early on to go to Hong Kong, but we kept him and that is racing.
&ldquo;It is a great thrill and gets the money off the back as Ned (Taylor) is away for 3-1/2 weeks and set us an unders and overs market of five winners while he is away and this is the first.
&ldquo;Just so pleased though for the owners of SOLAR MIST.&rdquo;
Winning jockey Matthew Chadwick said it was fantastic to ride his first winner for Aaron Bain Racing.
&ldquo;It was great to get one for the Bain and Taylor team,&rdquo; Chadwick said.
&ldquo;I have been doing a bit of work for them lately and they have been giving me good opportunities.
&ldquo;I was actually struggling to keep up for the first 300 metres.
&ldquo;He was struggling to get into rhythm in the ground but once I was able to tack on to the rear of the field I was sweet.
&ldquo;Greys in the wet, they love it, and I was wrapt to get the win for the team and the connections.&rdquo;

He has been training for several decades but ABR trainer Peter Bain achieved a career-first with his first winner in Hobart on Friday with his first runner on the Apple Isle.
Bain took unraced two-year-olds RAVISHING RUBY and B T CAPTIVATE to Hobart for heats of a Sweepstakes series culminating in a final this Saturday.
Driven by Mark Yole, RAVISHING RUBY found the front from gate four in the Fehlbergs Produce Two-Year-Old Fillies Produce (1609m) and was never headed.
Race favourite at $1.55, daughter of Always B Miki went the lead after the first 250m, and was able to dictate affairs, running quarters of 29.0s, 30.3s, 28.6s and 28.6s, going on to score by 12.5m over Stayzbetter ($26) and Daisy Pea ($3).
The mile of 1:56.5s took half a second off the previous best time for a two-year-old filly in Tasmania of 1:57.0, which was set by ABR&rsquo;s BEACH DIAMOND last year, and was only 0.3s outside the overall two-year-old state record set by Karalta Artemis in 2022.
&ldquo;She was fantastic. She was very green but has a lot of natural ability,&rdquo; said Yole.
In the second heat of the Fehlberg Produce Two-Year-Old Colts &amp; Geldings Sweepstakes (1609m), Barber Shop ($4.20) scored by a head over B T CAPTIVATE ($2.20 fav) and Solo Safari ($21) in 1:57.9s.
Both Bain-trained runners have qualified for $30,000 finals at Hobart this Saturday.

Aaron Bain Racing was delighted to land our first winner for the successful Grand Syndicates ownership group when Territorian won at Mildura on Saturday, July 19.
But it was not achieved without early drama in the Mildura Rural City Council Maiden (1400m).
The three-year-old, expected to race up on the speed, reared up as the gates opened losing four lengths and settled at the tail of the field giving his backers and supporters heart palpitations.
Jockey Brad Rawiller didn&rsquo;t panic on Territorian ($1.28 fav) and railed up throughout not going around another runner and the gelding finished best to grab a half-length win from Aussie Adaptor ($15) with Goochee Gal ($7) a neck away third.
The victory brought up a Mildura Cup double for ABR having won with Shootoose on day one.
After two excellent seconds at Balaklava, Territorian deserved a win, and he can go progress through the grades following his maiden win.
Trainer Ned Taylor said Territorian had done an excellent job after his mistake at the start.
&ldquo;Obviously things didn&rsquo;t go to plan early,&rdquo; Taylor said.
&ldquo;Brad (Rawiller) made it work, and the horse was really good.
&ldquo;He got very strong on him mid-race and hit the line strongly.
&ldquo;It was encouraging that his last 100 metres was his best.
&ldquo;We are very happy with the horse and result.
&ldquo;In time he looks like he could get 1600 metres but for the present we might look for a Class One over 1400 metres for him.&rdquo;
Winning jockey Brad Rawiller believes Territorian can continue to improve.
&ldquo;Apologies for the start,&rdquo; Rawiller said.
&ldquo;You want to take advantage of a good barrier. I can&rsquo;t put it down to anything, he just wanted to step back and went up in the air.
&ldquo;The result was we had to ride him from behind.
&ldquo;He travelled through and was always going to be hard to beat.
&ldquo;When he got the split, at first, I was not overconfident, but I liked his last 100 metres.
&ldquo;He held them off strong and that was despite trying to half get away from the inside.
&ldquo;He was well placed today and mine was the easy part even though I nearly stuffed it up.
&ldquo;Hopefully, it will be a good confidence boost going forward.
